Hear More of the Guitar, Without the Usual Internal-Mic Boxiness

The Baggs Lyric takes a different approach to amplifying an acoustic guitar: there is no separate pickup at all. Instead, the TRU MIC condenser microphone sits just 3 mm (0.12") from the bridge plate, capturing the guitar itself while noise-cancelling technology helps reject the internal reflections that can make conventional internal microphones sound boxy.

That gives you a more open, lifelike response that follows the natural balance and dynamics of the instrument, while the microphone design provides useful gain before feedback for live playing. Dynamic low-end control selectively compresses the bass frequencies, keeping the bottom end controlled without taking away the guitar’s punch.

A soundhole-mounted Volume control keeps your level within easy reach, while the adjustable Mic Presence control lets you fine-tune high-frequency clarity to suit the particular guitar. The active, all-discrete microphone preamp runs from a 9V battery. A battery bag, mic tool, extra adhesives and wire clips are included.
