Natural Nylon-String Amplification with a True Internal Microphone

The Baggs Lyric Classical uses a TRU MIC condenser microphone rather than an undersaddle or contact pickup, giving you a more open, natural way to amplify a nylon-string guitar. The microphone sits just 3 mm (0.12") from the bridge plate, where it captures the movement and character of the instrument while noise-cancelling technology helps reject the boxy reflections that can make internal microphones sound closed-in.

That means softer fingerstyle playing keeps its detail and dynamics, while stronger passages retain the natural punch of the guitar without becoming overly sharp. Dynamic low-end control selectively compresses the bass frequencies, helping the bottom end stay controlled as you play harder.

A soundhole-mounted Volume control keeps level changes within easy reach, while the Mic Presence control lets you fine-tune high-frequency clarity to suit the individual guitar. The all-discrete active preamp runs from a 9V battery.
