The Baggs iBeam Active Classical is built specifically for fan-braced nylon-string guitars, using a specially notched bridge-plate sensor to follow the movement of the soundboard. Its lightweight film sensors flex with the top much like microphone diaphragms, giving you a detailed, open response that follows the balance and dynamics of your playing rather than focusing only on direct string pressure.

The iBeam uses a cardioid-like response pattern to reduce feedback and string squeak while still capturing the vibrations that give the guitar its body and character. At less than 9.45 g (1/3 oz), the pickup adds very little weight, and the peel-and-stick mounting avoids a permanent glued-in installation.

An all-discrete Class-A endpin preamp is specifically voiced for nylon-string guitars, with a soundhole-mounted Volume control keeping adjustment close at hand while you play.
