Natural Nylon-String Response with Simple Volume and Tone Control

The Baggs Element Active VTC Classical is built to amplify a nylon-string guitar without making the attack feel hard or overly piezo-like. Its flexible Element sensor sits beneath the saddle and follows the movement of the soundboard, helping the amplified tone stay warm, balanced and connected to the way the guitar actually responds under your fingers.

Soundhole-mounted Volume and Tone controls keep adjustment close at hand without requiring a side-mounted control panel. The VTC also adds a built-in analogue compressor focused below 400 Hz, smoothing the low end dynamically while letting the rest of your playing retain its natural movement and expression. An all-discrete Class-A endpin preamp switches on automatically when you plug in. The pickup fits 2.4 mm (3/32") and 3.2 mm (1/8") saddle slots and runs from a single 9V battery for up to 1,000 hours. Professional installation is required.
