Natural Undersaddle Response with Added Tone and Dynamic Control

The Baggs Element Active VTC is built to give you the punch and clarity of an undersaddle pickup without the sharp, spiky response that can make piezo systems feel unnatural. Its flexible Element sensor follows the movement of the soundboard, so when you dig into a rhythm part the amplified sound stays warm, balanced and connected to the way the guitar is actually responding.

Soundhole-mounted Volume and Tone controls keep adjustment within easy reach without cutting a control panel into the side of the guitar. The VTC also adds an analogue compressor focused below 400 Hz, smoothing the low frequencies dynamically while leaving the rest of your playing response intact.

An all-discrete Class-A endpin preamp switches on automatically when you plug in. The pickup fits 2.4 mm (3/32") and 3.2 mm (1/8") saddle slots and runs from a single 9V battery, with up to 1,000 hours of battery life. Professional installation is required.
