Direct, Punchy Acoustic Pickup Tone with Simple Onboard Control

The Baggs Element Active is a streamlined undersaddle pickup system built to follow the movement of your guitar’s soundboard rather than relying only on direct string pressure. Its flexible Element sensor sits beneath the saddle, helping smooth out the sharp, spiky attack often associated with undersaddle pickups while keeping enough punch and presence to cut through a busy band mix.

The system keeps things deliberately simple. A soundhole-mounted Volume control is easy to reach while you play, and the all-discrete Class-A endpin preamp switches on automatically when you plug a cable into the output jack. There is no bulky side-mounted control panel or permanent side cut required.

The Element fits both 2.4 mm (3/32") and 3.2 mm (1/8") saddle slots and suits steel-string and 12-string acoustic guitars. A single 9V battery provides up to 1,000 hours of operation. Professional installation is required.
