Natural Nylon-String Response with a Clean, Minimal Setup

The Baggs Element Active Classical is the nylon-string version of the Element undersaddle pickup system, designed to keep the amplified sound connected to the way your guitar actually resonates. Its flexible film sensor sits beneath the saddle and follows the movement of the soundboard, helping smooth out the hard, spiky attack that can make some undersaddle pickups sound overly sharp.

When you dig in, the Element gives you enough punch and presence to stay clear in a busy mix, while softer playing still comes through with the nuances of the instrument intact. A soundhole-mounted Volume control keeps adjustment simple, and the all-discrete Class-A endpin preamp switches on automatically when you plug in. The pickup fits 2.4 mm (3/32") and 3.2 mm (1/8") saddle slots. A single 9V battery provides up to 1,000 hours of operation, and professional installation is required.
