Baggs Anthem SL Active Classical Nylon String Acoustic Guitar Undersaddle Pickup & Microphone System

Natural Nylon-String Detail with a Discreet Mic-and-Pickup Setup

The Baggs Anthem SL Classical is designed to capture the softer dynamics and natural character of a nylon-string guitar without relying on digital modelling. Its TRU MIC sits beneath the bridge plate, about 3 mm (0.12") above the surface, where it handles most of the frequency range for an open, mic-like response.

The Element undersaddle pickup supports the low frequencies underneath, adding solidity and punch while helping the system stay controlled on stage. Noise-cancelling microphone technology reduces the boxy reflections you can get from inside the guitar, so the amplified sound stays clearer and more natural.

The Classical version uses the same streamlined layout as the original steel-string version of the Anthem SL, with a preamp specifically dialled for nylon-string dynamics. Volume and Mic Level controls sit discreetly at the soundhole, while the active system runs from a 9V battery. Professional installation is required.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this active nylon-string pickup and microphone system is a great choice for classical players who want a more natural, mic-led amplified sound with simple onboard control and strong low-frequency support.

Please Note: Due to the nature of this system, professional installation is recommended.
