Thinline Comfort with the Depth and Response of a Full Acoustic
The Baggs AEG-1 is a thinline Dreadnought that feels much smaller against you than its acoustic response suggests. A solid Sitka Spruce top and solid Indian Rosewood back work with the rigid Poplar-ply sides, allowing the top and back to move more freely and deliver plenty of low-end warmth and resonance from the slimmer body.
The African Mahogany neck has a Slim C profile that feels easy to get around, paired with an Indian Rosewood fingerboard, 406.4 mm (16") radius and 651 mm (25-5/8") scale. Scalloped X bracing and the neck-support construction are designed to keep the body responsive rather than loading the top with all the string tension.
Plugged in, the custom HiFi Duet combines bridge-plate sensors with the Silo microphone, giving you direct string punch alongside the air and dimension of a mic. Volume, Mix, Tone, Phase and Mic Level controls let you shape that balance from the guitar. A gig bag, soundhole cover and adjustment tools are included.
