Alesis SR-16 Classic Drum Machine

Hands-On Drum Programming with Dynamic, Performance-Responsive Sounds

The Alesis SR-16 is a classic drum machine built for songwriting, live accompaniment and hands-on rhythm programming. It includes 233 realistic 24-bit drum and percussion sounds, available both dry and with built-in digital reverb. Dynamic Articulation changes the tonal character of a sound depending on how hard you play, giving programmed parts a more expressive response than fixed-velocity samples.

Twelve velocity-sensitive pads let you trigger sounds and build patterns directly from the front panel. There are 50 preset patterns performed by professional studio drummers, plus 50 user pattern slots for creating your own material. A and B pattern sections with two Fill options make it possible to build complete song arrangements, while Song Mode lets you chain patterns together.

Full MIDI In, Out and Thru provide integration with keyboards, computers, DAWs and electronic drum kits. Dual footswitch inputs can handle start/stop and fill control during performance.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this drum machine is ideal for songwriters, performers and producers who want straightforward programming, expressive drum sounds and flexible MIDI control in a proven hardware format.
