Full-Size Mesh Drumming with Genuine Zildjian Sounds and Cymbal Pads

The Alesis x Zildjian Nitro Pro takes the larger, more substantial Nitro Pro platform and adds authentic Zildjian cymbal sounds captured from cymbals in the Zildjian Artist Vault. It’s built around a full-size steel rack with reinforced mounts and generous kit spacing, giving drummers of different sizes room to set up naturally while keeping the footprint practical for home practice and recording.

The playing surface centres on a 10" dual-zone deep mesh snare, three 8" dual-zone mesh toms and an 8" mesh kick tower that supports double-kick pedals. The three 10" Zildjian-branded cymbal pads comprise hi-hat, crash and ride, with choke functionality on the crash and ride. Quiet mesh heads make extended practice far more neighbour-friendly than an acoustic kit while retaining a responsive stick feel.

The Nitro Pro module carries 36 factory kits, 16 user kit locations and 551 drum, cymbal, percussion and SFX sounds. Bluetooth and aux input let you play along with music from a phone or tablet, while USB/MIDI connects to recording software and virtual instruments. Traditional MIDI in and out, stereo line outputs and a headphone output make it equally useful for practice, rehearsal and recording.

A free Zildjian Session Mix Vol. 1 expansion for BFD Player adds more Zildjian cymbal sounds and bubinga drums for computer-based playing and recording. Connection cables, drum sticks, drum key and power supply are included.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think the Nitro Pro Zildjian Edition is a strong fit for drummers who want a proper-feeling mesh kit with larger spacing, double-kick compatibility and the extra character of genuine Zildjian cymbal sounds. It has enough connectivity and user memory to grow from everyday practice into recording and more involved setups.

Q1 - What is the Alesis x Zildjian Nitro Pro?

The Alesis x Zildjian Nitro Pro is an eight-piece electronic drum kit featuring responsive dual-zone mesh pads, an 8-inch mesh kick tower compatible with double kick pedals, and three 10-inch Zildjian-branded cymbal pads. The four-post steel rack provides generous spacing for a natural playing setup, while the Nitro Pro module offers 36 preset kits, 16 user kits, and over 500 drum and percussion sounds, including genuine Zildjian cymbal samples. Whether you're learning your first beats, practising at home, or recording your playing, there's plenty to work with.

Q2 - Does the Alesis Nitro Pro feature genuine Zildjian cymbal sounds?

Yes. The Nitro Pro module features authentic Zildjian cymbal sounds, giving you the character of Zildjian cymbals through your electronic kit. You also get the Zildjian Session Mix Vol. 1 expansion for BFD Player, featuring meticulously recorded cymbals selected from the Zildjian Artist Vault. Connect the kit to your Mac or PC and you can access these additional sounds through BFD Player, expanding your options beyond the module's onboard library.

Q3 - Is the Alesis Nitro Pro suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. The Nitro Pro is a great starting point if you're learning drums, but there's enough flexibility here to keep more experienced players engaged too. The mesh heads offer a responsive playing surface with less acoustic noise than a traditional kit, making them particularly useful for home practice. You've also got a built-in metronome, 60 backing tracks, a performance recorder, and a convenient holder for your phone or tablet. A 90-day Drumeo subscription is included as well, giving you access to structured lessons to help develop your technique and timing.

Q4 - Can I use a double kick pedal with the Alesis Nitro Pro?

Yes. The Nitro Pro features an 8-inch mesh bass drum tower with enough playing surface to accommodate a double kick pedal. That means you can work on double bass patterns and faster footwork without needing to upgrade the kick tower. A single kick pedal is included with the kit, so you're ready to play straight away, with the option to add your own double pedal later.

Q5 - Can I play along with songs and backing tracks on the Nitro Pro?

Yes. The Nitro Pro supports Bluetooth audio and a 3.5 mm auxiliary input, letting you play music, drum lessons, or backing tracks from your phone or tablet through the drum module. You'll hear the music alongside your playing through connected headphones or speakers, making it easy to practise with your favourite songs. There's also a built-in mobile device holder to keep your screen in view while you play.

Q6 - Can I connect the Alesis Nitro Pro to a computer for recording?

Yes. The Nitro Pro connects to a Mac or PC via USB MIDI, allowing you to capture your performances as MIDI data in compatible recording software. You can then edit your playing or use virtual drum instruments to produce your own drum tracks. Traditional MIDI In and Out connections are also available for use with external MIDI equipment. The included BFD Player software gives you access to the Core Library, Dark Mahogany, and Zildjian Session Mix Vol. 1 expansions, so you've got additional drum and cymbal sounds to explore when recording.

Q7 - What is included with the Alesis x Zildjian Nitro Pro?

The Nitro Pro comes with a 10-inch dual-zone mesh snare, three 8-inch dual-zone mesh toms, an 8-inch mesh kick tower, and three Zildjian-branded 10-inch cymbal pads comprising a hi-hat, crash, and ride. Both the crash and ride support cymbal choking. You also receive the Nitro Pro sound module, a four-post steel rack, a single kick pedal, a hi-hat control pedal, drumsticks, a drum key, a cable snake, and a power supply. On the software side, there's a 90-day Drumeo subscription and BFD Player with the Core Library, Dark Mahogany, and Zildjian Session Mix Vol. 1 expansions.

Q8 - What are the differences between the Alesis Nitro Max and Nitro Pro?

The Nitro Pro builds on the Nitro Max with several upgrades to the playing surfaces, hardware, and sound library. You get an 8-inch mesh kick tower that accommodates double kick pedals in place of the Nitro Max's 6-inch rubber kick pad, along with a deeper 10-inch snare and dual-zone toms for more expressive playing. The taller steel rack provides extra room to arrange your kit comfortably, while the Zildjian-branded cymbal pads offer choke functionality on both the crash and ride. The Nitro Pro also expands the available sounds to 52 factory and user kits with over 500 sounds, compared with 48 kits and over 440 sounds on the Nitro Max.
