The Tama MT1465BN Metalworks Limited Edition is a 14"x6.5" steel snare drum with black nickel plating across the shell and hardware. Its 1.2mm steel shell is thicker than the regular model, giving the drum strong volume, a firm attack and the cutting character players expect from a steel snare.

The 2.3mm Steel Mighty hoops add crispness while keeping the response more open than die-cast hoops. That makes the drum useful for players who want clear rimshots, solid backbeat presence and enough body for rock, pop, funk or heavier live work. This snare also includes MSL35BN black nickel lugs, an MCS70ABN/MCS70BBN black nickel strainer and butt plate, and 20-strand carbon steel snare wires.
