The Mackie Onyx16 is a premium 16-channel analogue mixer designed for recording, production and live sound. Twelve low-noise Onyx microphone preamps deliver up to 60 dB of gain for clean, transparent signal capture across vocals, instruments and line sources. Each channel features a 3-band Perkins “British style” EQ with a hard bypass switch, providing musical tone shaping inspired by classic studio consoles.
The Onyx16 supports high-resolution multitrack recording directly to Mac or PC via USB at up to 24-bit / 96 kHz, while also allowing stereo recording and playback via an onboard SD card. A powerful FX engine includes reverb, delay and modulation effects with adjustable parameters and user presets, all controlled through the full-colour Studio Command interface with dedicated transport controls.
Bluetooth streaming allows wireless audio playback to any channel, and switchable hi-Z inputs support guitars and basses without external DI boxes.
