A custom hot-rodded version of one of Ludwig's most legendary snares, the Ludwig LB427TDC Custom Black Beauty Hot Rod Snare Drum  features a beaded brass shell, with sturdy Copper hardware, and Matte Black finish. Tonally, brass is very warm and metallic, responding with far greater sensitivity than similar metal snares. The Black Beauty is one of the most legendary snares ever created, and made a major contribution towards Ludwig's popularity - despite the numerous imitations, the Black Beauty's sound is one which has never truly been duplicated.
