The Fender Player II FSR Jazzmaster RW Shell Pink is a limited-run electric guitar built for players who want modern playability with a more traditional Jazzmaster voice. This version swaps the standard pickups for American Pure Vintage ’65 Jazzmaster pickups, giving it a more open, textured response with extra detail and dynamics.

The alder body provides a balanced foundation with tight lows, clear mids, and a controlled top end that sits well in a mix. The Modern “C” maple neck with satin finish feels smooth and quick, while the 9.5" radius rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges gives a slightly worn-in feel that’s comfortable over longer sessions. Compared to older vintage-spec necks, this setup feels faster and easier to navigate without losing that familiar Jazzmaster character.

The Pure Vintage ’65 pickups bring a noticeable shift in tone compared to the standard Player Series pickups. With Alnico 5 magnets and enamel-coated wire, they deliver clear, articulate highs, a slightly raw midrange edge, and a more dynamic response that reacts noticably to your picking. Chords stay open and detailed, while single notes have a textured bite that cuts through without sounding harsh.

The floating tremolo system allows smooth, controlled pitch movement, while Mustang saddles help keep strings stable during heavier playing. The 3-way toggle keeps things simple, letting you move from warm neck tones to sharper bridge sounds quickly.
